Gregg Blatt has an extensive career in entertainment and corporate law. With a degree from Columbia University, he has learned critical thinking skills, and is often quoted as saying that his years at Columbia University served as athletic training for his brain. He worked hard earning his law degree, and has done so ever since. His determination and motivation are seen in every leadership role that he has held throughout his career.
Gregg’s inspiration and motivation were learned as he was growing up. His parents were both professionals who dedicated their lives to their careers and their family. Known as a great problem solver and leader, Gregg Blatt has held many titles in entertainment and corporate law. When he was CEO and Vice President at Match.Com, he realized that the idea of people meeting each other over the internet was exciting.
From 1999 until 2003 Gregg Blatt was Martha Stewart’s Executive Vice President. He was instrumental in the start up of Martha Stewart Living OmniMedia when she was as the peak of her career. His interest in entertainment law continues as he is the CEO of IAC, providing insight and critical thinking to not only Match.com, but also to SinglesNet, Chemistry.com, and People Media.
Gregg Blatt was raised south of Boston in the town of Weston. He earned his Bachelor of Art’s Degree from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, and then spent 3 years traveling. With odd jobs as bartender, waiter, and house painter, he was able to support himself. He lived in a tent in the mountains in Colorado, then decided it was time to go back to school. He earned his law degree at Columbia University. Today he is married to wife, Vanessa, and has 4 children.
